Some of the more popular brands that are exclusive to Home Depot include Chem-Dry, Behr paints, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Ryobi power tools and American Woodmark cabinetry. Home Depot also has its own branded products including Husky tools, Glacier Bay kitchens and the Home Decorators Collection.
The Home Depot Credit Card range
The Home Depot understands that its customer will vary wildly from someone who just wants to pick up a paint can to touch up their garden fence, through to commercial customers that need a large number of business supplies.
And different customers have different credit needs. That’s why The Home Depot doesn’t just offer one credit card – it actually has four to choose from.
The Consumer Credit Card is the everyday choice. It lets you pay for larger items over a number of months, with a 6 month interest-free period on any purchases over $299. It also lets you return items for up to 1 year, instead of the normal 3-month returns period. Your credit limit will be determined by your creditworthiness.
There are also some fantastic offers available for holders of the Consumer Credit Card. These vary, but can include 10% off selected ranges, or extended interest-free periods to let you spread the cost without incurring extra charges.
The second credit option is the Project Loan card. This is designed for larger, more expensive projects with loans of up to $55,000 available. It’s a low interest loan card, with interest set at just $20 per $1,000 spent. So even if you use the entire $55,000 loan amount, you’ll only pay $1,100 in interest.
The final two options are designed for commercial customers. The Commercial Revolving Charge Card is aimed at businesses who want the flexibility to spread the costs over longer periods. Multiple cards are available, so employees can be trusted with a card, while itemized statements make it easy to keep track of who is buying what.
Finally, the Commercial Account card is similar but gives the option of paying by invoice, rather than flexible minimum payments. Offers are also available with the commercial cards, including saving up to $100 on your first purchase of $1000 or more.
Shipping
With the huge and diverse range of products available at The Home Depot, shipping options vary. Free home shipping is available on over a million products, with 2-day delivery available on thousands of those. This applies to the 48 mainland states, but there are still over 158,000 items available for free shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.
Expedited and Express shipping options are available on selected products, while some products will only be deliverable to curbside outside your property (depending on their size). You can schedule shipping if you’re working on a project and need the items to arrive on a specific day.
Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
The Home Depot offers easy returns within 90 days of your order on the majority of products. You get up to 365 days to return your product if it was purchased using a Home Depot credit card. Furniture, Area Rugs, Generators and Consumer Electronics must be returned within 30 days of purchase.
You’ll need to provide a copy of your receipt for any returns made in-store, or provide details of your purchase if you begin your return online. Receipts can sometimes be looked up if you cannot locate your copy. Some products also qualify for shipping refunds if the product was faulty due to an error by The Home Depot.
Online Payment Options
When buying in-store at The Home Depot you can use most debit and credit cards, or choose to use a Home Depot credit card. Gift cards can also be used in-store.
If you’re buying from The Home Depot’s website, you also have the option of using PayPal as well as all other payment methods.
Security
The Home Depot website is secure and is safe to use when purchasing products to be shipped to your home or building site.
It’s also easy to return any items you aren’t happy with, meaning you can get your money back with no issues.

The Home Depot FAQ
How do you do curbside pickup at Home Depot?
If you want to pickup your order curbside, simply place your order online and choose this method at the Shipping page. You’ll receive a text notification when your order is ready, with instructions on what to do. Drive to your Home Depot store and park in the designated curbside pickup location. You’ll need to bring your ID with you in order to receive your products. Curbside pickup is available at most Home Depot stores until 6pm.
How do I get 10% off at Home Depot?
The Home Depot offers a price match service on most of its range. If you find an identical product available at a local competitor and it’s a lower price, The Home Depot will match the price and then take 10% off. The item must be in-stock both at The Home Depot and at the local competitor and must be available at a lower price without any coupons applied.
Otherwise, look out for coupons that give you 10% off selected Home Depot ranges from time to time, or 10% off when you spend a certain amount.
Can Home Depot color match paint?
Yes, Home Depot can color match paint for you. Use the ProjectColor App, available on Android and iOS, to browse colors or use a picture on your phone. It’ll scan for colors on the photo and let you recreate the color to buy your perfect paint.
You can also take samples into store, and the Home Depot Paint Associates will use a spectrometer to identify and recreate the color for you.
How does the Home Depot credit card work?
There are four Home Depot credit cards to choose from. The normal Consumer Credit Card lets you spread the cost of your purchases, with interest-free payments over 6 months for orders over $299. You also get various offers when you sign up. Larger projects work better with the Project Loan account, while business clients can choose from two card types depending on the size and needs of the business.
You can set up regular payments to clear your card from your checking account, or visit the Home Depot website to make payments against your card.
What tools can I rent from Home Depot?
If you’re a regular consumer who needs a tool for a one-off job, why spend hundreds of dollars to own it when you can rent one instead? The Home Depot offers rental on a wide range of power tools including pressure washers, floor strippers, industrial vacuums, generators, nailers and more.
You can also hire trucks and other equipment including aerial equipment, trailers, stump grinders and earthmoving equipment. You’ll need ID and a credit card to pay the deposit on any rented equipment.
Where is my nearest Home Depot?
With over 2,250 locations across North and Central America, you’re sure to be close to a Home Depot store. Just head to the Home Depot website and you can enter your Zip Code to find the nearest Home Depot store to you and check on its opening hours.
